Veolia Environnement
VWIO is part of Veolia Environnement (VE), the world leader in environmental services with an annual revenue of more than €28.6 billion in 2006.
VE comprises four core activities:
- Water with Veolia Water, which manages the entire water cycle for industries and local authorities
- Waste Management with Veolia Environmental Services through collection, transfer, treatment, disposal and recycling of industrial, commercial and domestic waste
- Energy with Dalkia providing energy services and on-site energy production (heating of urban, industrial commercial and public buildings)
- Transport with Veolia Transportation providing logistics and ground passenger transportation services

Veolia Water UK plc
VWIO is wholly-owned by Veolia Water UK plc.
Veolia Water started investing in the UK in 1987. Today, It operates three water supply companies in the South East of England:
- Three Valleys Water
- Folkestone & Dover Water Services
- Tendring Hundred Water Services.
Together, these companies provide 900 million litres of water a day to a population of 3.3 million. Veolia Water Partnership provides engineering, technical, logistical and scientific support to the water supply companies.
Veolia Water UK also operates in the non-regulated sector of the market under VWIO.
