The Pharmaceutical industry is highly regulated and as such requires validated processes for the production of water suitable for injections and other sterile purposes.

VWIO's in-house manufacturers produce the type of plant required by the pharmaceutical industry and VWIO's membrane bioreactor technology can be used to destroy the complex fermentation broth generated in the pharmaceutical production process whilst yielding a bacteria free water for recycling. VWIO also has extensive expertise in resin regeneration and ultra-pure water loop disinfection.

VWIO has the ability to segregate water streams and use ultra-pure water, Water for Injection (WFI) and general process water to give the most cost-effective solution and enhance the water cycle at site.

The use of caustic cleaning within the Pharmaceuticals processes can highly benefit from the advance membrane technology developed to separate contaminants from these solutions and allow them to be recycled.

VWIO has also extensive experience in the containment of odour streams to minimise the local environmental impacts.
